Ice Cream Month Recipe Roundup!

Summer is all about backyard BBQs, beach days, pool days, and generally spending more time being active in the great outdoors. Another thing we love about ushering in the summer season? The food, especially the desserts!

Whether it is grilling out in the backyard or gathering around a campfire for some s’mores, summertime offers up some of the best foods. Sure, fall has homemade pumpkin pie and winter has holiday cookie exchanges, but let’s be honest the star of show in the summertime is ice cream, and July is National Ice Cream month so it’s officially time to celebrate!

Even if you practice a mindful diet and lifestyle, you can still have your ice cream and eat it too. Here is a roundup of some of our favorite recipes including some keto-friendly ones, all perfect for the summer season or any time of the year!

Easy Gluten-Free Peach Berry Crisp

If you love fresh, ripe summertime fruit you will love this recipe for an Easy Gluten-Free Peach Berry Crisp. Created by Natalia from Nat Eats, this gluten-free and dairy-free fruit crisp is extremely easy to make and oh so delicious. If you are not a fan of berries or peaches, you are in luck because this recipe can be made with any fruit you like! Top it all off with a scoop or two of O’MY Vanilla Bean and you have a perfectly sweet and tart summertime treat.

Dairy-free Keto Hot Fudge Sauce

What is one of the best ice cream toppings? Hot fudge of course! This recipe is perfect if you’re looking for a lower sugar, keto-friendly option, and it pairs well with any of our lower-sugar flavors.
Created by Cast Iron Keto, this Keto Hot Fudge Sauce is perfect for dipping, drizzling, or dunking. We prefer ours paired with a scoop or two (or three) of O’MY Coffee Break, but we think it is pretty safe to say this keto-friendly hot fudge sauce could pair well with just about any dairy-free gelato flavor you like.

Dairy-free Keto Peanut Butter Ice Cream Pie Recipe

Step aside cherry pie, there is a new summer favorite on the picnic table and it is Keto Peanut Butter Ice Cream Pie created by Stem + Spoon.

What’s not to love about this recipe, it’s a cross between peanut butter pie and ice cream cake…yes please! Did we mention it is also keto-friendly? Just be sure to eat it before it melts! We do not think that will be a problem though.

Dairy-free Keto Strawberry Shortcake Ice Cream Cake

The summer season is teeming with fresh fruits from the community farmers market, so why not channel the flavors of the summer season and bake them right into a cake like this Keto Strawberry Shortcake Ice Cream Cake?

Created by Stem + Spoon, this blends a summertime favorite, strawberry shortcake with an ice cream cake, a match made in dessert heaven! It uses our deliciously creamy My O’MY Vanilla with just 1 gram of sugar per serving which pairs perfectly with fresh strawberries.

Dairy-Free Ice Cream Cake

If you love pairing chocolate and strawberries together, then you will enjoy this Dairy-Free Ice Cream Cake. Made by Peanut Butter + Chocolate, this recipe uses our chocolate and strawberry gelato flavors and can be made vegan and gluten-free. This is a great one for summertime birthday parties and celebrations, it’s low effort, but looks beautiful! (You’re welcome).

Add a hint of mint to your summertime recipes with this Vegan Mint Chip Ice Cream Pie. Chocolate and mint just belong together, don’t you agree? Created by Go Dairy Free, this Grasshopper Pie is perfect to enjoy on a warm summer’s night while you catch fireflies and gaze up at the stars in the night sky.
